Inception goes faster - v7.2 incorporates IR FAST

The latest Inception 7.2 release brings significant enhancements to alarm reporting and credential visibility, alongside a series of usability and security improvements. Here’s what you need to know. 

Support for Integriti IR Fast Reporting Format 

Inception now supports the Integriti variant of the IR Fast reporting standard, complementing the existing Concept IR Fast format. This update introduces: 

• Granular Alarm Reporting: Distinct input states such as Low Battery and Poll Failed are now reported individually, rather than grouped as generic alarms. 

• Expanded Module Types: Broader compatibility with Integriti modules for more comprehensive system monitoring. 

• Flexible Configuration:  

• Available under Configuration → General → Alarm Reporting → Skytunnel Configuration, with options for text or no text. 

• Also supported in T4000 reporting via the ‘Use Integriti-Compatible IRFast Format’ option. 

  
  

Why it matters: Installers and monitoring centers gain clearer, more actionable alarm data, reducing ambiguity and improving response times. 

Credential Access Review Enhancements 

Physical and RF credentials now appear in the Access Review process: 

• ‘Who’ Column Visibility: Credentials used during interactions are displayed in the ‘Who’ column for better traceability. 

• Reporting Integration: This data is also included in Access History and Review Events reports. 

Why it matters: Security teams can quickly identify which credential was used for any access event, improving audit accuracy and compliance. 

Additional Changes 

• SkyCommand Renamed to IR Connect: All references to SkyCommand have been fully transitioned to IR Connect. 

• LAN encryption changeover and potential lock-up issues. 

• General Improvements: Usability tweaks, security updates, and stability fixes across the platform.
