Infiniti Class 5 - Winner!

Infiniti Class 5 Wins Product of the Year at Security 2016.

Inner Range is proud to announce that our inaugural Infiniti Class 5 system has won the “Product of the Year” at Security 2016, as judged by a panel of industry experts.  Our Infiniti Class 5 system is the first and currently only Class 5 system to be independently certified by the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL).
Director of Inner Range, Vin Lopes, said he was pleased by the win. "A lot of work went into this Class 5 project over many years and it’s very pleasing for the whole team involved to have their effort rewarded," he said.
From a technical standpoint, Inner Range’s AS2201.1 Class 5 security system offers end-to-end encryption of alarm points and provides many features previously required by installations, which would otherwise require SCEC’s Type 1A approved products at a substantially lower cost.
Fundamentally, our AS2201.1 Class 5 provides AES 128-bit encryption across all LAN modules, from sensor to controller to keypad and when used with our T4000 (Certified to AS2201.5), the system is fully encrypted from ELM right through to the Control Room. Up until now, government organisations requiring encryption of all parts of security system communications needed to install costly SCEC Type 1/1A solutions.
Inner Range ELM’s (End of Line Modules) are embedded into third party PIR’s, reed switches or other security related input devices. The ELM provides status events such as Alarm, Tamper, Anti-Masking etc. and also provides an Open Collector I/O which can be used for PIR LED control, Input Testing etc. The ELM connects via an encrypted RS-485 serial connection to a special Inner Range Class 5 Expander.
To achieve the prestigious Class 5 certification, our Infiniti Class 5 platform has undergone rigorous testing by an independent body (ASIAL). Some of our competitors claim to have a solution that meets Class 5 but without any independent certification and more importantly, their claim is based solely on single Class 5 component or components, not the entire system. This may have negative consequences for both the system integrator and end-user who believe they have a Class 5 system but in actual fact they may not. Inner Range stands behind our products and that is why we are proud to say that our Class 5 certification was granted on the system as a whole - Hardware Modules, Power Supply, Keypads, Metalwork, Peripheral Components and Complete Documentation.
