Insight is the next generation configuration and management software for Inner Range 3000/4000 security products. Insight Professional edition was released in March 2003 and is available from Security Merchants. Insight Lite edition was released in March 2003 and is available to Certified Inner Range technicians for free download on our support site. The Lite edition provides rapid upload/download (up to 1000% faster than WinDirect), review filtering, hardware control, and comprehensive panel programming tools. These include long names and notes for all programmable items, power search and cross-reference, online/offline editing modes, copy and paste, automatic detection of terminal edits, manual Insight-to-panel database comparison, automatic memory configuration adjustment, module LAN status, random PIN generation and selective display (hide hardware not on the LAN, hide unprogrammed items).

The Professional edition of Insight is a commercial package designed for end customer security management and administration. It builds on the robust Lite platform by adding new modules and key features including multi-panel, multi-workstation and core reports. The operators module introduces fine-grained operator privileges and permissions. The schematic module adds graphical maps and site plans, live status reporting, drill downs and freeform shapes. Schematic takes advantage of the new V5 panel interpreter to receive lightning fast updates without polling or reading review. User photographs and extended database fields are also included in the Professional Edition.
