Inner Range

IR-Secure 40 is a secure, encrypted 40 bit access card format which guarantees unique site codes and millions of card numbers per site. Inner Range have also released a range of cards and fobs to support this format.

IR-Secure 40 cards and fobs are available in two variants, Standard and Registered Site (RS):
Standard - Site Codes up to 32768 and Card Numbers up to 65535
RS - Guaranteed unique Site Codes and selectable card number ranges

Supporting the new card format, Inner Range have released a new Dual-format Proximity Reader which reads standard Wiegand format cards (such as HID prox) and the new IR-Secure40 format. The readers are compact, feature an attractive moulding and come at a very competitive price point.

As the readers are capable of reading Wiegand and IR-Secure 40 formats, they are well suited to multi-tenanted applications where different tenants have different card formats. The IR readers also represent an excellent platform for sites to progressively upgrade their access system to the IR-Secure 40 format whilst maintaining backward compatibility with Wiegand format cards for as long as necessary.

Registered Site Service

RS IR-Secure 40 cards offer guaranteed unique cards which overcome the duplicate card problems associated with standard 26bit Wiegand format.

These cards allow a unique site code to be registered to a specific site. Customers are also able to request specific card numbers. Before ordering RS cards, customers must apply to register a unique site code using the IR-Secure 40 (RS) registration form, which is faxed to your Distributor. Cards and Fobs are then ordered using the IR-Secure 40 (RS) order form.
