The Ethernet UART provides a 10BaseT Ethernet connection between the Concept 4000 control module and Insight software in addition to up to three serial ports. This allows communications over LANs, WANs, VPNs and the internet. The dedicated IP based Insight protocol combined with the 128 bit AES encryption allows users seamless administration of earth spanning access and security systems.

Remarkable communications flexibility

The Multiport Ethernet allows remarkable communications flexibility. One scenario would be simultaneous communications to the Insight Server, an FE3000 GSM unit, a C-Bus home automation unit as well as a serial printer.

Connectivity

The Ethernet UART connects directly to the expansion bus of a Concept 4000 Control Panel. One Ethernet UART can be connected to a single control module.
