Inner Range Stand at ASIAL Security 2007

The sizeable delegation that Inner Range sent to this year's peak event organised by ASIAL were all kept very busy by the continual stream of visitors to our stand. The Concept 4000 Touchscreen again proved to be a drawcard, as did Multipath-IP, FE900 and developments in the Insight software. The Inner Range delegates were pleased to meet many new faces in addition to catching up with the 'familiar faces'.

IR-Secure 40 "Wheel of Fortune"
Adding to the buzz at the stand was the popular IR-Secure 40 "Wheel of Fortune" promotion. Conference delegates were issued special IR-Secure 40 cards before the show. The cards, when badged at the reader at the front of the stand would spin up a prize from the "Wheel of Fortune" on the main display - prizes included CD vouchers, chocolates, Inner Range apparel, premium beer, wine and spirits...To coin a phrase, everyone was a winner!

Major Prize Winner

Every IR-Secure 40 card badged entered the bearer into the draw for an 81cm LCD television on the last day of the show on the 12th July.

Inner Range wish to thank everyone who participated and especially wish to congratulate the winner of the major prize draw, Mr Phil Savell of QBE Insurance.

We look forward to meeting both new and familar faces at next year's exhibition.

Reminder: Concept Firmware Roadmap

Date Added:
20-Jul-07

This notice is to remind Installers, Consultants and End Users of theimportant developments in the Concept 4000 firmware.

Version 5.7
This version was released in January 2007. New IFDAM features and 35bit Wiegand support are slated for this release.

Version 6.2
This release occurred in July 2007. Version 6 firmware represents an exciting new step in the life of the Concept system. Significant enhancements have been made to the operating system to support our next generation functionality including the Touchscreen Terminal and IR-Secure 40 Cards and Readers. We draw your attention to the following significant changes which have been made to our communications protocols:

  • The old PC direct and Accept comms tasks will no longer be supported as standard in version 6 firmware. This means that PC direct, Accept and AcceptNet software applications will not be supported on standard version 6 firmware. Version 5.7 firmware will still be available for purchase to support these applications, however no further development will be undertaken on this firmware.

  • Wdirect will be updated and will support a new encrypted Wdirect protocol in version 6 firmware. The new Wdirect will also support the old PCdirect protocol to communicate with older panels.

Version 2.35 FE3000 Premier/Multipath-IP STU Firmware Released

Date Added:
20-Jul-07

This new firmware revision contains a number of improvements:

  • Each polled IP path can now have it's own individual polling rate
  • If a polled IP path drops out for any reason, a Time Report is generated within an hour
  • The operation of the Panel Link command has been revamped
  • Corrects behaviour previously observed when migrating an FE3000 Premier or Multipath-IP STU from V1.xx firmware to V2.xx firmware where the auxiliary maps 3 & 4 were 'lost' after the update.

Registered users can obtain the firmware from the Inner Range support portal.
