Highlights of the new firmware are:
Touchscreen Terminal Module introduced [MENU, 7, 2, 2]
Updated Memory configurations support 2 Touchscreen Terminals in most 128k configs, and from 2 to 32 in 512k configs.
Inner Range IR-Secure 40 Readers and card format introduced
The “40 Bit Wiegand” card format is now called “40 Bit/IR Secure”. When this format is selected in Reader Module or IFDAM programming, and the “Standard” Site Code type is used, the system will automatically process 40 bit card data according to the IR-Secure 40 data scheme.
Lift Car names and Floor names added
16 character Lift Car names and Floor names are now supported in the panel database in all Memory configurations that provide Lift Control. [MENU, 7, 9]
Changes to Communication Tasks [MENU, 7, 3, 1]
NEW FORMATS ADDED:
- WDirect. Replaces the PCDirect format for communicating with the Wdirect Upload/Download software.
- Insight External Modem. Allows Insight to establish a dialup connection via an External Modem connected to a Control Module UART Port. In this release, connection via this Comms Task can only be initiated by the Insight software and Callback is not supported.
FORMATS DISCONTINUED:
- PCDirect. (Replaced by the new WDirect format)
- Accept. NOTE: If V6.2 or later firmware is required for Sites where the PCDirect or Accept Comms Task must also be supported, contact Inner Range for advice.
ENHANCEMENTS:
Contact ID format.
- Added option to increase DTMF tone time for using Contact ID over VOIP networks.
- Added alternate checksum scheme to address an issue with some European Receivers.
Memory Configuration Changes
- Implement the new Touch screen Terminal and associated Touch screen Layouts in all 512k, and most 128k configs.
- Add Lift Car names and Floor names to all 128k and 512k configurations. (Except for “IP Door”)
- Remove Airconditioning from all 128k configurations except the “Enlarged” and “Alarms” configs.
- Remove Wireless Network Modules (SpreadNet/Inovonics) from 128k Standard. (Note: RF Expanders are a different Module type and are not affected)
- 512k IP Door configuration: Increase the number of Cards to 48,000 / Reduce Review to 4000 Events.
Changes implemented to cater for Type 2 Control Modules with soldered-in Micro (U1)
The Type 2 Control Module will now be produced with the Microcontroller soldered onto the board rather than socketed.
RAMIFICATIONS FOR INSTALLERS:
When working with Type 2 Control Modules with a soldered-in Micro:
- Firmware cannot be downgraded to any version prior to V5.00.
- The Micro no longer needs to be changed when changing to a newer version of firmware
